Updos Galore

This is my friend, Jess. She started in the class ahead of me. She let me play with her ultra-thick, curly hair last week. I had been wanting to try a side-updo, that has become pretty popular lately.  

It turned out really great (and she got a lot of compliments at her job that night)!
   


 I'm glad I got to practice, because..... 
 


 This lovely lady came in on Saturday, asking for an updo for a family event. She had her hair in a bun when she came in, and when she took out the bun, I about laughed in fear...her hair went down to her lower back, and was curly as can be....I was up for the challenge! She gave me the freedom to do what I wanted with her hair - I told her I would start curling it and see what her hair had to say to me ;) Her hair made the most beautiful curls, so I thought I would see how it looked in the side-updo. I'm pretty sure I developed carpal-tunnel from spending 40 minutes just curling that hair though.


 


 I left the bottom loose, so the hair cascaded down her shoulder. It was gorgeous. She was SO happy, and I was really proud of myself! Best updo yet! What do you think?
