BIG change! ;)

I've made quite the transformation since I've been in barber school. I started off a natural blonde, very little makeup, simple styles... Photobucket

When hair color week struck in Basics, I went for copper, and it was fun!

When it was time to color my blonde roots again, I wanted something less orange, and more red....and we got this:

Next came my favorite updo ever, my mohawk, and a fresh, violet-red color!

I deepened the red a few months ago, and added some warm brown and golden tones to the red.

This last weekend, CHD had their continuing education class. I was asked to be a model in the class. There were 50 barbers in attendance. My instructor, Ferida, took me from a level 5 red, to a level 10 blonde....we said our prayers, and somebody must have been listening, because it worked.

First, she used Elimin8 - it's a product that strips artificial color from hair. It doesn't usually work very well, and stripping red from hair is the hardest thing to do (I'm told), so we were thrilled when the red pulled to this lovely honey color you see poking out here! Ferida then foiled the crap out of my hair, alternating sizes of weave and volumes of bleach, to create depth and dimension. She has a shoulder injury, that causes her so much pain, so she would stop several times, during her 80 minutes of foiling, to say to me, "God I must love you...." :) And she does <3

And here I am now :) And let me tell you what...after all those students watched Ferida foil and foil and foil, they were WAITING on edge for me to walk back into that room! And when I did, I kid you not, we heard ooohs and aaahs like no other - they couldn't believe the redhead was so blonde! I've never seen Ferida so proud :)
Photobucket Happy to be in the same color range I was born with, happy to match my daughters again, and happy to make my husband's jaw drop again ;) *Now....nobody let me near the red again....for at least a little while ;)
