Day 4

Today I did 2 more 0º cuts on Joey. One of the instructors liked how well I was doing, so she showed me how to cut bangs and layer around the face. She was so patient when I tried it on my own and had troubles - I feel SO lucky to have such a tiny class! And now, Joey looks super cute! :) (Didn't have time to blow dry and style today)






Next, we partnered up to learn how to shampoo, and give a scalp massage (here is where my massage training will be a help!!) This wasn't as delightful as you'd think....I got stuck with a crappy partner, who has no clue what's going on, and all she ever says is, "I can't". I know, I know, there's one in every group...but she just annoys the heck out of me! She poked me in the ear, she elbowed me in the eye, and even scratched up my forehead! She's young, still in high school, and she always grabs me quick when they ask us to partner up. We're the only white people in my class, so I kind of wonder if she's intimidated?? (I'm loving being in the minority for the FIRST time in my life, by the way!!) :) She's from a VERY small town, and doesn't seem to have a lot of experience with other cultures... I'm trying to be very patient with her, and treat her with kindness, but if she doesn't knock it off, I'm just going to lose my mind. ;)
