Salon Saturday

I spent my 31st birthday in school. My first school birthday. I brought treats. I have 40 new friends. :)


For my birthday, I learned some new things! 


This is how you start dreadlocks. Yup, I put dreads in a guy's hair!!!


   


 From here, he'll return to the salon every few months, to have the locks rolled as they grow...a long process for him, but very cool for me to learn! 
 


I also did my first "high & tight"
    


 ...on my husband. He was happy, I was happy, and now I know how to cut his hair *correctly!   



And when I got home, my kids had a surprise for me. :) Fresh from the cupcake shoppe!
